Fees

Fees are $120/session (including HST).  Each session is 60 minutes in length.

Payment is required via cash, cheque, credit card or e-transfer within 48 hours of the client’s appointment.  If payment is not made within 48 hours, the subsequent session will require payment of the balance in advance.  Clients may choose to make payment at the office before session begins to avoid having to address financial matters right after a session has ended.  Alternatively clients may prefer to receive their bill via email after session to submit payment online from home.

What about insurance?

Psychotherapy services are generally not covered by OHIP, however some extended healthcare benefit plans will reimburse you for psychotherapy.  Psychotherapy services are commonly provided by Registered Social Workers (RSW), Psychologists (C. Psych), and Registered Psychotherapists (RP).  I am a Registered Psychotherapist (RP).  

It is the client’s responsibility to carefully check the wording of their benefits plan to ensure sessions with a Registered Psychotherapist are eligible for reimbursement from their benefits provider.  I am able to direct-bill some insurers, but not all.  Please give me a call to discuss the details of your particular provider if you are interested in direct-billing.  For those where direct-billing is not possible, the client is required to remit payment for their session and submit a copy of their receipt to their insurance provider to receive reimbursement if eligible.
